The Drive Home

Well I am finally home after driving from Canada to Florida with my dad. We took three weeks to enjoy the trip. We spent most of that time with family on the west coast.

Canoe Campout

"If I get in to a canoe with you will you get me wet?" Karly asked. We were standing on the dock at the boat launch to the lake in Wells Grey park in BC. As many people as could fit into two trailer loads of canoes were about to embark on our annual canoe trip. "I can't guarantee any thing." I responded with a grin. So started the adventure.

Today we planted almost 600 squash plants, filling only two beds out of ten to be planted with veggies.

Even though often the work is hard and boring, or not fun, or it doesn't seem fair at all; looking back I really enjoy working on the farm. I get to learn many skills like how to operate machinery, how to care for crops, how to set up irrigation in fields; I learn much more valuable skills. I can difinantly say my work ethic, though imperfect has improved a lot since I came here.

School has been really busy so I haven't been able to post lately. But today I got my Junior pics back from the photographer, Paula Smith. Who is an amazing photographer!

The trouble now is picking two or three to hand out this year...
