Today we planted almost 600 squash plants, filling only two beds out of ten to be planted with veggies.

Even though often the work is hard and boring, or not fun, or it doesn't seem fair at all; looking back I really enjoy working on the farm. I get to learn many skills like how to operate machinery, how to care for crops, how to set up irrigation in fields; I learn much more valuable skills. I can difinantly say my work ethic, though imperfect has improved a lot since I came here.

Fountainview, growing organics and building character.

  1. What goes in the rest of the beds? Kale?

  2. Different types of squash, melons, and herbs. There are a lot of kale plants out so far.
